Romans 15:18-19 – “For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience — by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God — so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ.” Want to preach the Gospel in a way that sees results? Do what Paul did. Preach “by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God.” Allow the Holy Spirit to move in you and through you, and you will be amazed at what He will do.

We were in downtown Romania sharing the Gospel when we saw an older woman selling doilies. The three of us all felt God leading us to talk with her, but as we shared about Jesus, she was hesitant, even combative. Rather than argue, we thanked her for her time and asked if we could pray for her before leaving. “Yes, please!” she said, showing us her arm, which was stuck at a 90-degree angle and in constant pain. We laid hands on her arm and prayed that God would do a miracle. Suddenly, right there in the middle of the busy city streets, she was totally and completely healed, all the pain leaving and full mobility returning to her arm. In Acts 1:8, Jesus promised, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…” We are called not just to share good information about Jesus but to walk in His power and see the sick healed and oppressed delivered.
