While our culture has become increasingly antagonistic toward the church, the church in many ways has retreated from our high calling to be salt and light. Rather than bringing restoration, hope, and light into dark places, we’ve surrendered to the critics, stood back in timidity, and complained about the problems instead of fixing them. It’s time we as the church stop holding back in fear and selfishness. It’s time to step into our calling and bring healing and hope to a world in despair.
