JAKE STIMPSON | PARABLE OF THE SOILS | THE SOWER | SEED | GOSPEL | EVANGELISM | GOOD SOIL
“Jesus did not expect people, especially nonbelievers, to jump into His world, so He jumped into theirs.” – Steve Murrell… One of the keys to finding people who are hungry for the Gospel is to cultivate relationships, build friendships, and trust God to open doors to minister.

JAKE STIMPSON | PARABLE OF THE SOILS | THE SOWER | SEED | GOSPEL | EVANGELISM | POWER OF GOD
In the New Testament, the preaching of the Gospel, witnessing for Jesus, is directly linked with moving in supernatural, miraculous power. If you’re not seeing fruit in the Kingdom of God, maybe you need to move in more of God’s power.

JAKE STIMPSON | EVANGELISM | FOUR SOILS | GOSPEL | LED BY THE SPIRIT
Jesus talked about a sower spreading the seed of the Word of God on the ground. The seed fell on all sorts of different terrain, but one type was the good soil. In that soil, the seed took root and bore a harvest. How do we find people who are good soil? One key is to be led by the Spirit.

LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF SAINT PATRICK 2 - THE RESCUE OF EUROPE
JAKE STIMPSON | SAINT PATRICK | IRELAND | MISSIONS | MONKS | CHURCH HISTORY | CELTIC CHRISTIANITY
What happened in Europe after Saint Patrick brought the Gospel to Ireland is one of the most fascinating stories in all of history. The Roman Empire had collapsed. Barbarian tribes had demolished cities, burned crops, destroyed libraries, and chased away the military, government officials, philosophers, teachers, and priests. European civilization was on the brink of collapse. But along came the Irish monks, preaching the Good News and a love of learning. “Monks began to set off in every direction, bent on glorious and heroic exile for the sake of Christ. They were warrior-monks, of course, and certainly not afraid of whatever monsters they might meet.” It is because of the hard work of these Irish monks – some of them a bit crazy – that European civilization survived and Christianity spread to countless unreached Barbarian tribes.

JAKE STIMPSON | SAINT PATRICK | IRELAND | MISSIONS | EVANGELISM | REVIVAL | CHURCH HISTORY
He baptized over 120,000 people and planted 300 churches in a dark, violent foreign culture. He confronted paganism, superstition, witchcraft, and idolatry. He faced down cruel barbarian warlords and rebuked fierce slave traders. Because of him, an island nation found peace, prosperity and purpose. Who was this man? None other than Saint Patrick, a courageous and bold ambassador for Christ.

In the Welsh Revival of 1901, over 1 million people were added to the Kingdom of God. Whole cities were transformed. Churches were packed. Bars closed. Crime vanished. Police had nothing to do so they traveled the country in Gospel quartets. And the most amazing thing of all is that this transformation came in large part from unknown and unnamed men and women of God who simply preached the Gospel however they could, people like the illiterate farmer’s wife who led 70 neighbors to Jesus. Today, we wrap up the “Preaching the Gospel” portion of the Cornerstone Vision with “Tools, Tips, and Tracts.”

Romans 15:18-19 – “For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience — by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God — so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ.” Want to preach the Gospel in a way that sees results? Do what Paul did. Preach “by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God.” Allow the Holy Spirit to move in you and through you, and you will be amazed at what He will do.

We were in downtown Romania sharing the Gospel when we saw an older woman selling doilies. The three of us all felt God leading us to talk with her, but as we shared about Jesus, she was hesitant, even combative. Rather than argue, we thanked her for her time and asked if we could pray for her before leaving. “Yes, please!” she said, showing us her arm, which was stuck at a 90-degree angle and in constant pain. We laid hands on her arm and prayed that God would do a miracle. Suddenly, right there in the middle of the busy city streets, she was totally and completely healed, all the pain leaving and full mobility returning to her arm. In Acts 1:8, Jesus promised, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…” We are called not just to share good information about Jesus but to walk in His power and see the sick healed and oppressed delivered.
