JAKE STIMPSON | MAKING DISCIPLES | GREAT COMMISSION | IMITATORS | SURRENDER | FOUR SOILS
When Shaquille O’Neal signed with the NBA, he blew through $1 million in 30 minutes. Immediately, his banker called him, furiously warning him to change his spending or get ready to be broke. Then something amazing happened. Shaq listened. Part of being a disciple means you’re teachable. What else does it mean? Listen to this message.
JAKE STIMPSON | MAKING DISCIPLES | GREAT COMMISSION | GLORY OF GOD | MULTIPLICATION | BE FRUITFUL
From the very beginning of creation, God’s heart has been to multiply His glory until it fills the earth. How did He decide to do this? By creating people, crowned with glory and honor, invested with His image, and giving them a passion to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, bringing His glory everywhere they go (Genesis 1:28). This is the ultimate goal of making disciples, to spread the glory of God throughout the earth and throughout the generations.

God is concerned about more than just your salvation. He wants to see you become a mature, spotless Bride who stays strong until the end. This is what making disciples is all about.
In our quest to better ourselves and climb the ladder of success, simple faithfulness is often ignored in our day. Yet the Bible is full of incredible promises to those who remain faithful in the little things, and warnings to those who do not. Faithfulness is more than a nice character quality to aspire to; it’s one of the chief ways God works out His blessings in your life.
In Matthew 23, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for their hard hearts, religious legalism, and downright cruelty. It’s probably his most scathing sermon recorded in the Gospels. At one point, he calls them blind guides who strain out gnats from their meals while swallowing camels. They’ve been so obsessed by all sorts of little things that they’ve missed the important stuff, like justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Faithfulness is not just one more thing to add to your To Do list. It’s at the basis of everything in the Kingdom of God.
