THE REWARDS OF FASTING
JAKE STIMPSON | REVIVAL | AWAKENING | FASTING | SEEKING GOD | 2 CHRONICLES 7:14
There is a link between experiencing revival and actively humbling ourselves and seeking God in fasting and prayer. But revival isn’t the only reward of fasting. What else does God do when we seek Him in fasting?

We love to talk about revival. We love to pray for revival. But what many people don’t realize is that there is a heavy cost to see revival. Are you ready to put everything on the line? Are you really ready for revival?

DESPERATE PRAYING
JAKE STIMPSON | REVIVAL | AWAKENING | DESPERATION | TRAVAILING PRAYER
Before the New Hebrides Revival of 1949-1952, eyewitnesses recalled it was preceded by “a spirit of urgency and audacity, an attitude of brokenness and desperation, a manner of prayer that could be daring and agonizing.” How hungry are you to see God move in revival? Are you ready to pray with desperation, like your life depends on it?

YOUR FIRST LOVE
JAKE STIMPSON | REVIVAL | AWAKENING | FIRST LOVE | REVELATOIN 2 | ASBURY | EPHESUS
“A church should be a camp of soldiers, not [a] hospital of invalids. But there is exceedingly much difference between what ought be and what is, and consequently many of God’s people are in so sad a state that the very fittest prayer for them is for revival. Some Christians are, spiritually, but barely alive…” – Charles Spurgeon. With all the talk of revival going on, it’s time to search our hearts and let God bring us back to our first love.

JAKE STIMPSON | REVIVAL | AWAKENING | TESTIMONIES | HISTORY | ASBURY | JESUS PEOPLE
A local pastor said of the 1904 Welsh Revival, “I have no more doubt of its being a work of God than I have of my own existence. As to describing the revival and estimating its results, can you put in words those deep and hallowed experiences of life realized when God meets you almost palpably and sways your whole being cross-ward, heavenward, and the atmosphere trembles with light, life, love, joy, praise, reverence, [and] awe?” Is God stirring up a new revival among us? Maybe, maybe not. But one thing I know for certain is that His heart has always been to restore and revive.

LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF SAINT PATRICK 2 - THE RESCUE OF EUROPE
JAKE STIMPSON | SAINT PATRICK | IRELAND | MISSIONS | MONKS | CHURCH HISTORY | CELTIC CHRISTIANITY
What happened in Europe after Saint Patrick brought the Gospel to Ireland is one of the most fascinating stories in all of history. The Roman Empire had collapsed. Barbarian tribes had demolished cities, burned crops, destroyed libraries, and chased away the military, government officials, philosophers, teachers, and priests. European civilization was on the brink of collapse. But along came the Irish monks, preaching the Good News and a love of learning. “Monks began to set off in every direction, bent on glorious and heroic exile for the sake of Christ. They were warrior-monks, of course, and certainly not afraid of whatever monsters they might meet.” It is because of the hard work of these Irish monks – some of them a bit crazy – that European civilization survived and Christianity spread to countless unreached Barbarian tribes.

JAKE STIMPSON | SAINT PATRICK | IRELAND | MISSIONS | EVANGELISM | REVIVAL | CHURCH HISTORY
He baptized over 120,000 people and planted 300 churches in a dark, violent foreign culture. He confronted paganism, superstition, witchcraft, and idolatry. He faced down cruel barbarian warlords and rebuked fierce slave traders. Because of him, an island nation found peace, prosperity and purpose. Who was this man? None other than Saint Patrick, a courageous and bold ambassador for Christ.

JAKE STIMPSON | RACIAL RECONCILIATION | GEORGE FLOYD | PROTESTS | SOCIAL JUSTICE | REVIVAL
“For two hundred years we had sawed and sawed and sawed at the branch we were sitting on. And in the end, much more suddenly than anyone had foreseen, our efforts were rewarded, and down we came. But unfortunately there had been a little mistake: The thing at the bottom was not a bed of roses after all; it was a cesspool full of barbed wire.” George Orwell wrote these words in 1940, but they fit equally well today, a time when life seems to be running from one crisis after another. What on earth is going on? How are we supposed to respond? What is the church’s role in all of this?
